All Aboard The Choo-Choo Train- All Aboard...
We took the munchkins to the NC Transportation Museum last weekend. Sprout has always wanted to ride a train and seeing how his first experience riding a train in Philadelphia while visiting my sister was a disaster (thanks to Sprite's major meltdown) we decided a second ride was in order. Thankfully, this experience was a shining success compared to the first. We toured the train depot, the roundhouse, the turntable and the Flue Shop. There were a lot of hands on exhibits for the kids and of course a gift shop! The only disappointment was that the train never went faster than 9 mph! Sprout was convinced that he could have walked faster than the train- and he probably could have!
Next up is the Great Smoky Mountain Railway in Bryson City. I am pretty sure that this one will travel faster than 9 mph!

don't bet on that one---the three of us did that earlier this summer---about 9 miles a hour does it..nice museum and ride, but no speed there either. Aunt Pam
