Hi! I have been reading your blog for a little while now - but never commented yet - sorry!!
I just wanted to say I hope you are feeling better soon. Parenting with the flu is the absolute worst thing ever. My last bout about a month ago, I planted my special needs daughter in from the tv with a video for 2 hrs straight. I felt so guilty, but was so weak that I could barely move. Don't worry, she got lots of hugs and kisses when I felt better!
I guess we just do what we have to during those times!!! Take care!
How about parenting with the flu when hubby has it too. f course his is always worse and you end up taking care of all...moms have it rough rough rough...Tv is my god send when I am sick! No guilt here...she doesn't watch too much normally so one maybe two days wont hurt! Feel better soon... P.S. Caption: Cereal Hangover?
I hope you feel better. I know how you feel. I have three kiddos and When I'm sick it's all I can do to get the box of cheerios down from the cupboard. LOL!
I’m a northern girl who was temporarily transplanted in the deep south, where sushi is still called bait. You’ll notice that my blog is titled after the movie ‘Sweet Home Alabama.’ It combines my love for the movie and the southern colloquialisms therein and the fact that Alabama was Home Sweet Home-when I started this blog! I poke fun at the south and the state of Alabama but it’s all in good fun so don't go gittin yer gussie up-it’s how I coped! I also poke fun at my hometown- it was once in the Guiness Book of World Records for having the most bars per square capita. And no, I did not have my baby in a bar! But it sure was an interesting journey transitioning from career woman to stay-at-home Mommy to two strong-willed young’uns. Most days I didn’t know whether to scratch my watch or wind my butt! Today, we're back in NC where I am once again trying to find the balance between career woman and stay-at-home Mommy. You’re welcome to come along on this crazy journey but just be sure to bring your earplugs and bug nets; my kids are loud and the bugs are fierce. Or is it my kids are fierce and the bugs are loud? ;)
